When you move away from your hometown, you realize who you really care about. Those people who you want to get in touch with when you're only home for a couple of days.
I'm not sure Jim ever thought of me as much more than Jason's sister, but I always looked forward to hanging out or monopolizing his time when he'd call for Jason. I think he might have been the funniest person I'd ever met. A very particular kind of funny. I think I could see humor in certain things only by talking to him.
the last thing I remember of jim is trying to convince him to immediately buy The Dictators first album. I really wanted to talk to him about how utterly dumb/amazingly brilliant that record was.
I really looked up to jim and think he's just about the smartest, person (in addition to my brother) that I'll ever know.
I will miss the part of me that came out when Jim was around. I think I became more creative and sharper witted when I talked to him. His death is truly a loss to anyone who knew him.
I'll miss you Jim
