just wanted to say thank you to everyone
who came to the james kopta tribute concert at
valentines on sunday. people i havent seen in years,
people i saw yesterday. the vibes in the room were
strong. jims mom and dad were there.
thanks to marc for getting this show all together
and making the jim books.
dave for live video mixing all night.
seth malvina jen dave lublin jesse stiles others im
forgetting who helped with the
gear/merchandise/logistics in various ways. thankyou!
igor brought soup and apples that fed everyone.
rich made jim cdr's. stephan wasnt able to be there but
its because of his efforts with rich that
the jim cd was even possible. of course all the bands
and artists who performed and/or helped with
unexpected technical stuff. this includes some who
werent able to attend the actual show.
howard for providing the location and support.
sound guy mike for staying on top of a crazy show.
kate and shawn at metroland for the story and promo.
sorry to anyone i wasnt able to talk to-
there were so many people i saw and wasnt able to
hang out with. not unlike marc , i spent most of my
night keeping track of documentation/bands/changes/
equipmnt/video/etc, with occasinal breaks in the back
room to catch my breath. dara and steve wanted to come but had
thngs come up which prevented it. we all missed the
both of you and talked about you fondly.
would like to track down
old friends and hang out some time. now that
the big show stuff is over. actually , that includes
curent friends.
