..was the first line of the story.

james and i were talking on the phone one day and jim was chuckling about "that dog drives a go kart" im saying "what? what dog drives a go kart?" and it turns out that the dog at george rickie's place out in chatham drives a go kart. james was up there welding and this little girl comes by and says hi, then just stands there staring at him. so he works for a while and shes still hanging out. jim eventually starts talking with her and it goes something like:

girl- "i missed the bus"
jim- "yeah?"
"yeah. i miss the bus alot"
"well i missed the bus alot too"
"see that dog?"
"yeah"
"that dog drives a go kart"
"what?"
girl begins singing; "that doooog driives a go kaaaart"
(pause)
"okay prove it"

so a few minues later the dog is in a modified go kart pressing a pedal and its moving. i dont remember how it steered. anyway jims laughing so hard and then the go kart is headed straight for a sculpture while the girl is giving the dog some unintelligable commands. . jim and the girl begin yelling stop stop stop! as the dog gets closer and closer to the sculptures but then give up and are lauging. luckily the dog didnt hit the sculptures. later, george is around and noticing tire tracks in the snow, he was grumpy about the fact that the dog had been driving the go kart outside.

over the following months, jim and this dog became best friends. he could throw a rubber ball as hard as possible at its head and it would catch it every time. the dog would become so excited when jim would arrive that it would slam itself into the side of jims car as he entered the drieway. the dog was always covered in dirt and uknown messes, slobbering and happy see his friend jim. jim named him "youwannabutdont" .

oh i miss jim so much, i miss his stories. ill type more as they come back to me.
