Message to the People of the Future

The Brown Cuts Neighbors are 15 years old today… well, they would be, if they had not perished, along with their core creative force — James Kopta — in a cruel accident two years ago. I’m actually a day late writing this. The “Official” anniversary date is Halloween, for, on that day in 1989, BCN played it’s first show as a “rock band” before an audience. (Brown cuts Neighbors truly had it’s start some 7 years earlier… which makes it the somewhat less interesting age of 22.) I joined the band a couple of weeks later, completing the ‘original’ six-piece lineup. By then the first album and half of the second had already been recorded… –to be continued as I find time during the week–
