Wayne White - Beauty Is Embarrassing

Marc Arsenault

Watch On a Mission to Bring Humor into Fine Art on PBS. See more from Independent Lens.

This is on my local PBS station right now. It should be on yours at various times throughout the week. I used to trade minicomics with the great Wayne White back in the 1980s (his are true classics). He went on to work on Pee Wee’s Playhouse, contribute to Gary Panter’s Kaktus Valley and become a celebrated painter… as profiled recently in Juxtapoz. Be sure to watch this… Wayne White is awesome.

UPDATE: We are slow to the mark around here. You can already get this show on DVD. And I failed to mention Wayne’s website and his book. Enjoy.
