Comics Comics #1
Comics Comics #1
PictureBox
The first instalment of Comics Comics. The magazine that dared say, 'hey, we like these comics, and no, we don't have to care about every comic just because they're comics, or just like this type of comics, and hey these things are worth taking a look at and there are different worthwhile experiences, lessons, feelings, responses and other such stuff that can be takes away from all sorts of different comics, even if it is the most corporate toy franchise drivel. Or something like that. This thing felt like some serious validation when the first steps to re-launch Wow Cool were taken a few years ago.
Interviews with Jessica Ciocci and Matthew Thurber; Mark Newgarden on Mark Beyer; Tim Hodler on Dick Ayers; Frank Santoro's first (and the first for about a decade or two) article on Brendan McCarthy; and other delights.
