Concrete Celebrates Earth Day
Concrete Celebrates Earth Day
Charles Vess, Moebius & Paul Chadwick
Dark Horse
On April 22, 1990, the world joined together in an effort to make the population of the Earth aware of the environmental dangers we all face. As their contribution to the cause represented by Earth Day 1990, Paul Chadwick, Moebius, Charles Vess and Dark Horse Comics joined together to create a unique comic experience -- Concrete Celebrates Earth Day.
The 23 page wordless Moebius Edena short story published here as “The Still Planet...” was first published in the US here, and looks lovely on newsprint, but “La planète encore" is possibly better represented in its printing 28 years later in The Art of Edena as “The Planet Once More” along with production art from the film based on the short story. While stationed aboard the Orion R-2r rocket ship with Stel, Atan is left feeling uneasy due to a telepathic intrusion.
