Renegade dreams Brute and Glob have taken over the mind of Jed Walker and walled it off from the dreaming - a situation that does not please the Dream King who comes to deal with them. Meanwhile, Jed's sister Rose, and her new found friend Gilbert break down in the middle of nowhere and have to spend the night at a hotel that's filled with a "Cereal Convention".
