DC Comics
Stories: "Brothers” written by Neil Gaiman with art by Richard Piers Rayner, Mike Hoffman and Kim DeMulder re-introduces Brother Power, the Geek to the DC Universe after 20 years hiding out somewhere.; "Shaggy God Stories" written by Neil Gaiman with art by Mike Mignola features Jason Woodrue talking to his plants; and, a two page “Who’s Who” update on Swamp Thing features art by Pat Broderick.
Ironically, while this was supposed to be the launching point for Gaiman's work on the main series, due to Veitch's story featuring Jesus Christ being denied, Gaiman chose not to work on Swamp Thing. However, in the back-up story of this annual, Jason Woodrue is talking to his plant Milton and poses the question whether or not Swamp Thing was the cross that Jesus was hung on or perhaps the crown of thorns burrowed into his brow.
