"Years ago Sam sent me some of his comic strips, and I wrote back to him and said, 'Sam Henderson, one day you will be famous.' And look! Now he has a book deal with a big-time publisher!" --Dan Clowes, creator of Eightball and Ghostworld
Sam Henderson was born in 1969 in Woodstock, New York, and as a result nobody believes him when he says his parents are not hippies. He now lives in Brooklyn, New York, where he draws cartoons for anyone who calls. His Magic Whistle strip appears in New York Press, The Stranger, and various other weeklies, and his comic book of the same name is available in better comic stores. His work has also appeared on Nickelodeon, and in DC Comics, Zero Zero, Measles, Top Shelf, and tons of publications nobody's ever heard of. He hopes this book will make him a thousandaire.
