Its elliptical industrial songs apply a piquant buzz to contemporary experimental electronic music. Comprised of stalwart musicians Andrea Blake (ASPS, Chrome Dome) and Jenny Branagan (Nun), you can feel Vaccum's distinct sense for physicality throughout Vacuum. Sub-bass shudders through its veins; remixes by Lakker and Sow Discord add high-frequency electricity. Sleekly built but coarse in texture, Vacuum makes hard graft feel like a walk in the park.
